TEAM JACKALS

It Takes A Village

"It takes a village to raise a child" - proverb

Many people assume the Jackals are a for profit organization because it is a professional basketball team. Like the Greenbay Packers, the Jackals is a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to help individuals develop their potential and achieve success academically, athletically, financially, socially, and professionally by fostering integrity, motivation, responsibility, hope, perseverance, confidence, and sportsmanship through the game of basketball.

The Jackals organization runs youth (12-18) mentoring programs and youth (6-18) basketball camps geared toward both skill and personal development.

The organization also takes on interns to provide college students an opportunity to build and share skills and gain experience in their choosen fields.

Community Engagement

The Jackals organization is a community organization. We are here to support existing enrichment programs through mentorship, to make appearances at schools and events, and to host and run camps.

The team's original mission was to bring positive role models to the Jamestown Community. Now as a Lake Erie team, the team has expanded its regional footprint. If you're unsure if the Jackals are available for appearances in your area please reach out and ask.

Game Day Support

The Lake Erie Jackals are more than just a basketball team—we are a community-driven organization competing in the Basketball Super League (BSL). We are looking for energetic, passionate, and community-minded individuals to join our Game Day Crew at the Edinboro University - McComb Field House.

Volunteering is a fantastic way to support local sports, get a behind-the-scenes look at professional basketball, fulfill volunteer hour requirements, and meet new people!

Jackal home games are hosted at PennWest Edinboro's McComb Fieldhouse. See Schedule for possible dates. Participants will receive complimentary tickets which will be emailed to the group contact person prior to the game.

Halftime Shows

We would love to promote your organization through halftime performances during Jackals Professional Men’s Basketball games! The games provide a high-energy platform for local organizations to perform in front of enthusiastic crowds while supporting professional basketball in the Erie region. We welcome dance teams, musicians, choirs, cheer squads, youth programs, and other performance groups to be part of the game-day experience. Each home game offers an opportunity to entertain, inspire, and gain community exposure.

Anthem Singers

If you love to sing, each game provides an opportunity to perform the U.S. and Canadian National anthems. Don't worry if you only know one.

Volunteer

As a nonprofit, the Jackals rely on our volunteers. With the move to Edinboro we are actively looking for game day volunteers.
